Festival of the Forks

The city of Albion was first settled at the forks of the Kalamazoo River in 1833 by the Tenney Peabody family.Since this time, the forks have been an important symbol of the natural beauty of the Albion community. So every year since 1996, on the third weekend in September, the residents of Albion gather to celebrate our heritage and diversity in the Festival of the Forks celebration.
The evening before the festival, the beautiful Victory Park is set aglow from the lighted luminaries placed alongside its' water falls and river banks.
The Festival itself features many different attractions as diverse as the poeple of the city that it celebrates. Festival events include :
* A children's parade to kick off the day
* International food booths
* Arts & crafts
* Flea market
* Book show
* Art show
* Live entertainment
* An evening parade
* ...and much, much more!
