10 years of Sistership Relations

december 2007

The anniversary of the signing of our partnership with the town of Albion (USA) 10 years ago and more recently with the Spanish city of Godella was marked by a day of festivities on Saturday 1st December 2007.
The day we hosted a delegation of the United States with Michelle Muller, President of Albion's sister ship Committee and Diane Guenin-Lelle, director of the Department of Foreign Languages and Professor of French at the University of Albion, then a significant Delegation led by Godella Gines Ruiz, representing the municipality Godella Raussell and Julio, President of the Twinning Committee Godella recently created.

The day began on Saturday at 14 am with a parade of vintage cars in the streets of Noisy le Roi and Bailly Noisy, led by the Mounted Police and the band led by the Humanitarian Emaj Pole. As the temperature was cool after the parade everyone is found around a glass of wine or hot chocolate with roasted chestnuts.

At 18h was inaugurated, Room G Lemaire Bailly, the exhibition on 10 years of twinning consisting of a recall of all actions undertaken by the Sistership Committee during this period. The meeting was numerous among which were recognized Ms. Le Moal, Vice President of the General Council, Senator Mr. Alain Gournac, Mr.Convain the Mayor of Bailly, the Mayor of Noisy le Roi M. Michel Colin and a representative of the U.S. Embassy Jennifer Bullock. A serenade performed by students of the School of Music-Bailly Noisy le Roi accompanied this event and everyone was left over cocktails to share this moment of conviviality.

From 20:30, a dinner attended by over 200 people, took place in the Old Hall Stables artistically decorated for the occasion, with the assistance of ACC, around a very tasty buffet.
At the end of the meal, a demo of Square Dance was performed by the group Ouest Paris Swingers, followed by dancers from the ballet El Poblet, who dressed in sumptuous costumes, entertained us with dances and songs of Valencia.
A wonderful evening which ended late at night

This past weekend with our American and Spanish friends has strengthened our ties to them and have also raised the possibility of trade between their two cities. Many new ideas are born. We will certainly contact you shortly.

The Sistership Committee wishes you a happy festive season and another year under the sign of international trade for all ages
